At that time, I weighed 287 pounds. I was tired and in pain all the time. At my first visit, I found out that I had gained so much weight that I would qualify for surgery or weight loss medication from my insurance provider.
I graduated from college and years later, I was not only insulin-dependent, the use of it was starting to have negative affects on my body. I’d began to use an insulin pump and my body showed signs of rejection.
I lost almost 67 lbs. I started at 354 and currently at 276 (almost 20% body fat). I’m no longer taking insulin, changing my diabetic medications and altering my mentality on what I eat and how my body reacts to it.
